Para evitar un aumento de migrantes en los cruces fronterizos, el gobierno de Estados Unidos ha anunciado que cerrará la frontera con México.
El gobierno vecino alegó que esta medida es crucial para reforzar la seguridad del país.
En este sentido, el presidente Joe Biden ordenó la cierre de la frontera, que se efectuará a partir de hoy, debido a la gran cantidad de solicitudes de asilo que han sido presentadas por migrantes en busca de protección.

Según fuentes oficiales, el cierre de la frontera es una medida necesaria para evitar que los migrantes que buscan asilo en EU.
Para Biden, la verdadera prueba de su política consistirá en saber si la medida puede restablecer las percepciones sobre su gestión de la inmigración sin alienar a los votantes y aliados políticos.

Por su lado, el coordinador de Pueblos Sin Fronteras (PSF), Irineo Mujica Arzate, señaló que la decisión es una medida desesperada que solo busca satisfacer los intereses de grupos de la ultraderecha estadounidense.
Asimismo, indicó que la restricción de asilo político es “inhumana e ilegal”.
